The 48th Highlanders Regimental Association Regimental Remembrance Activities
Weekend of Nov. 05 – 06, 2022
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 5th
11:00 hrs – 48th Remembrance Service at Mount Pleasant Cemetery
Form up by 10:30 hrs near the 48th Monument in the cemetery.
Padre to lead the service.
Chair (Interim) of 48th Highlanders Regimental Association to march on the veterans.
Dress code for all, less P&D who will wear Svc Dress: glengarry, jackets, medals.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 6th
11:00 hrs – 48th Remembrance Service at Regimental Monument, Queen’s Park
Shuttles from Moss Park begin leaving for Queen’s Park at 0900 hrs and will drop off Veterans at the Monument directly.
Veterans will form up NLT 10:30 hrs at the Monument at North end of Queen’s Park. The Veterans Guard Commander will be the Chair (Interim) of the 48th Highlanders Regimental Association. The Association Drill Team will march to the Monument with the Regiment.
Regiment to form up and march separately with the P&D Band under command of the CO to the Monument.
Padre to conduct service at the Monument at 10:45 hrs.
Various groups to place wreaths TBA.
Dress code for veterans: glengarry, jackets and medals.
After the service, the Veterans group will march past the reviewing stand and fall out at the south end of Queen’s Park where buses will return them to the armouries. The regiment will march to Moss Park Armouries. Messes will be open.
