Battle Honours

The 48th Highlanders has been awarded 50 battle honors!

A battle honour is an award of a right by the Government of Canada to a military unit to emblazon the name of a battle or operation on its colours (“flags”) as official acknowledgement for their achievements.

The 48th have been awarded 50 battle honours from South Africa, World War 1 and 2, and from more recent UN and NATO commitments. Only 22 of these are emblazoned on the Regimental Colour. (See image above.) Click on the titles below for more info:
